Occasionally I am drawn to work with materials that inspire me combined with an experience or an event to create visual metaphors. From unsettling bats in my house--which I compared with my unsettling creative process , to aerial view of islands-- which derived when I arranged the materials in a particular configuration, to a skeleton with suggestion of rope nearby--which I compared to the fury of injustice, to  skull, metal, flowers and conflagration--which I compared with aftermath of 9/11--I create works to help resolve these experiences for me.
