Inspired by Florence Price, African-American Classical Composer, acrylic on canvas, 24x36 inches. Ms. Price's Violin Concerto No. 1 in D major (1939) was performed in February, 2019 by the Capital Philharmonic of NJ at the Trenton War Memorial and was part of Black History Month's Celebrating Great African-American Composers.

Sketching each movement of Ms. Price's concerto, I chose this one to develop. Of course, the painting has a life of its own without one knowing its source. The components of music are different from those of painting. I simply want to viewer to know the source because the concert was truly remarkable!!!  Most likely, more will follow.
