Alive! Mixed media & acrylic on canvas, 24" x 36 x 1.75 inches. Coming out of surgery, I opened my eyes to see very bright lights. I did not know whether the procedure was over or just beginning but soon was told it was completed and successful. It took four hours! Subsequently I searched for images which would describe my experience. Alive! was painted in steps, in layers, in convolutions which took time and an openness to evolve into what it is now.
