The bluebirds indicated to me to paint their scene because they have been in a dramatic competition with the wrens for it. BUT IT'S A BLUEBIRD HOUSE! The wrens have plenty of other houses to use. During the process of deciding what to paint en plein air the bluebirds were really staking the house throughout the day. No doubt about it. Being in nature, hearing all the birds around sing, enjoying the virbunum shrub in its blooming peak, experiencing the warm, not hot, April day was such a delightful treat.
