Stella. Acrylic on Canvas. 20 x 16 x 1.5 inches. Stella has been an orphan since her mother died a few days after her birth. She is very loved by all, including her caretaker, Bobby, from Beechtree Farm, Hopewell, and me. When Bobby showed me photos of her upon rocks, I asked his permission to paint her. In this scene I see the interconnectedness of her with surrounding rock, trees, earth, sky, sun--truly touching.
